Metal flake is applied in clear over a colored base coat. The large flakes have a rough texture requiring additional clear coats to level the finish. WebApply 2-3 coats of base coat leaving 10-15 minutes between coats. Allow 1 hour (maximum 24 hours) before continuing to the next stage. Mix Candy 2:1 with D-Thinner and stir well. Apply 3-5 coats of Candy depending on the effect you desire, leaving 15 minutes between coats. The more coats you apply, the more deeper and richer the colour will become.
